A lineup of talented musicians who bring passion and power to every show, making sure the party never stops.

JimmyJ – Lead Vocals

Meet JimmyJ, the voice out front and the newest frontman to hit the stage… even if the microphone isn’t new to him.

While this may be JimmyJ’s first time fronting a rock band, the spotlight has been following him for years. Long before stepping into the band world, he spent eight years in musical theater in Buffalo, New York, building the kind of stage presence most rock singers spend a lifetime trying to learn.

His theater résumé reads like a rock opera highlight reel. JimmyJ performed in Jesus Christ Superstar five different times, portraying Pontius Pilate for three years and taking on the demanding role of Judas for two. He also appeared in West Side Story, proving he could handle everything from powerful ballads to dramatic stage moments.

He also spent two years in dinner theater performing in Tony n’ Tina’s Wedding, playing Donny Dulce, the wedding singer, where the line between performance and party blurred every night.

These days, JimmyJ has traded theater lights for amplifiers and guitar stacks. His voice brings theatrical power, storytelling, and raw rock energy to the stage.

Offstage, JimmyJ balances two very different worlds. By day, he is the VP of Franchise Development for Caring Transitions, helping entrepreneurs across the country change their lives through business ownership. He is a husband to an amazing wife and father to an incredible son, the two people who matter most and inspire everything he does.

And when the workday is done, another title comes into play: the self-proclaimed Karaoke King of Cincinnati, Ohio, a crown earned through countless nights, big notes, and even bigger applause.

Now stepping fully into the rock world, JimmyJ is proof that when theater meets rock ‘n’ roll, the stage gets a whole lot louder.

Rob Danger – Bass

Meet Rob Danger, the low-end backbone of the band and a man whose history in music runs deeper than most setlists.

A graduate of Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio, Rob has been immersed in music and sound since the late 1970s, building a career that lives at the intersection of performance and production. He’s not just a musician—he’s a lifelong architect of sound.

Behind the scenes, Rob sharpened his craft as an engineer at WVXU-FM, WHIO-TV, and WCPO-TV, mastering the technical side of audio while quietly building the instincts that only decades in the industry can give you. The result? A bassist who doesn’t just play the music—he feels how it’s supposed to move.

On stage, Rob’s résumé reads like a tour through the underground and regional rock scene. He’s held down the groove for bands like Syndicate, Acoustical Turbulents, The Hookers, American City, Cruiser, Liquid, Johnny Roxx, and Saving Stimpy—each adding another layer to his style, from gritty rock to dynamic live improvisation.

He also spent years in the Dayton, Ohio blues jam circuit, where nothing is scripted and everything is earned. That’s where Rob developed his signature approach—steady, soulful, and locked in.

But there’s more to Rob Danger than amps and stages.

Offstage, he’s a man of discipline and purpose. He has played in worship bands at St. Ignatius, St. Aloysius, and currently Vineyard Westside Church, bringing the same passion to those stages as he does under the lights. And when he’s not playing bass, he’s training in Taekwondo, proving that his focus and intensity extend far beyond music.

Whether he’s laying down a groove, supporting the band with backing vocals, or locking in with the drummer like a human metronome, Rob Danger is the steady force every great band is built on.

Because when the foundation is solid… everything else hits harder.

The Hammer – Drums

Meet The Hammer, the heartbeat of Uncle Angry and the engine that keeps everything moving forward.

Behind the kit is Jim Knapp, a left-handed drummer—a rare breed in the drumming world—and a 40+ year veteran of the Cincinnati music scene. While some drummers chase flash, The Hammer built his reputation on something far more powerful: precision, consistency, and feel.

And when he locks in… everything else falls into place.

Jim’s musical journey spans decades and stages, having driven the rhythm for bands like Outlook, Slow Children, Cold Blue, Mary Jane, Chester the Pup, Lunchbox, Sun Red Sky, Wayward Son, The Diaz Brothers, and Killa Nova. Each project added another layer to his sound, shaping a drummer who is steady as a metronome but dynamic enough to bring every song to life.

He’s the kind of player musicians trust—and the kind audiences can’t take their eyes off.

Influenced by legends like John Bonham, Ian Paice, and Nick Mason, The Hammer blends classic rock power with controlled intensity. No wasted motion, no unnecessary flash—just pure, driving rhythm that hits exactly where it needs to.

But don’t let the serious groove fool you… The Hammer brings personality too.

When asked about his greatest contribution to the Cincinnati music scene, Jim didn’t hesitate:

“My hair… it’s all I got.”

Offstage, Jim’s life is just as grounded as his playing. A retiree of the Cincinnati Public Library, he now works as a Network Administrator for Hamilton County, balancing logic and rhythm in equal measure. At home, he’s a husband, stepfather to two daughters, and proud grandfather, roles he carries with the same steady commitment he brings to the band.

Whether he’s laying down the groove or driving the tempo forward, The Hammer doesn’t just keep time… he defines it.

Diamond Dave - Guitar

Meet Diamond Dave, the six-string architect behind Uncle Angry’s sound and a guitarist whose journey has been decades in the making.

Dave’s story starts the way all great rock stories do—with a spark. At just nine years old, he discovered AC/DC… and everything changed. That moment lit a fire that’s been burning ever since, leading him to pick up his first electric guitar and never look back.

Growing up in Cincinnati, Dave quickly found his way onto the stage. By sixteen, he was already performing live, playing his first show with Treason at the 1982 Mason Heritage Festival. Just two years later, he took things to another level—moving to the Northern Virginia/Washington, D.C. area to chase music full-time with his cousins in Stone Crow. The band hit the road hard, playing extensively across circuits like Memphis and Ole Miss, cutting their teeth night after night in front of live crowds.

In 1986, Dave returned to Cincinnati, becoming a staple of the local scene, with venues like Never On Sunday’s serving as home base. After the band parted ways in 1987, Dave answered another call to serve—joining the U.S. Navy.

But music never left.

While stationed in Italy in 1988, Dave formed Sweat X, taking his sound international and performing across Europe. One of the defining moments of his career came when the band took the stage at the St. Tropez Boat Festival, playing to a crowd of more than 30,000 people—a true rock-and-roll milestone.

Back stateside, Dave continued to build, founding Taken in Northern Kentucky in 2002 and staying active through 2006. And in 2024, he brought it all together—launching Uncle Angry, assembling a lineup built for both power and longevity.

On stage, Diamond Dave brings decades of experience, road-tested grit, and a style rooted in classic rock with a modern edge. He’s not just playing guitar—he’s telling a story through every riff, every solo, every note.

Because for Dave, this isn’t a phase… it’s a lifelong commitment.

And he’s not done yet.

Uncle Angry’s energy turned our night into an unforgettable rock party!
